Scott began originating loans in 1996 as a loan officer and eventually as a team manager. In 2000 he became a licensed mortgage broker and opened up his own company. After moving to Coeur d'Alene with his wife in 2011, Scott decided to continue his career in mortgage origination. With over 16 years as a mortgage professional, he has seen many trends in rates, programs and the real estate market.
Early 2013, Scott and his longtime friend Joel Botker decided to create a team. Scott and Joel met in college in 1981 and have remained close friends over the years.
Joel began working in the mortgage industry as a loan officer after working as a real estate agent in Minneapolis, MN. He continued originating loans after moving to Coeur d'Alene in 1992. He was the broker for his own company for ten years before moving to Alpine. Joel's degree in accounting and background as a real estate agent has helped him be able to understand both sides of the loan process. His specialty is loan analysis, finding the best loan product that will fit his clients' specific needs and individual financial situation.
